Charter Hall has paid $250.3 million to Vicinity Centres to extend its $4.6-billion retail portfolio of convenience shopping centres. The assets include Armidale Central, Whitsunday Plaza at Airlie Beach and Gympie Central. The assets have a combined turnover of $450.6 million.
Armidale Central is a two-level subregional shopping centre in the regional area of New England. It is anchored by Kmart and Woolworths, and includes more than 25 specialty stores. The centre spans a gross lettable area of 14,564 sqm and the complex has 610 car spaces with a moving annual turnover of $120.9m.
